Any publisher/developer who encourages you to outsource miniatures to play their game must have some confidence in the integrity of their product. This is preferable to someone trying to sell you their miniature range by way of a half baked game.
Absolutely helps. Of course it would be ideal if all the minis had the same scale and aesthetic, but all that falls second to playing a great game and having fun. Personally, I’m looking to try to use the minis from Achtung Chthulu! They look great but don’t have there own skirmish game yet as far as I know…
