Once again Lange and Nathan return to the topic of Firestorm Armada with updates on how the game is progressing. Having play a very different number of games the two host find their views are split. We talk about updates and MAR rules as well as the cards as an aspect of Firestorm Armada as well. Higher Learning covers how best to pack and ship your armies and the Stupidity Check returns to the lovely topic of finecast and how even now Games Workshop can’t seem to get it right…

So I was listening to the stupidity check about the Ogre Firebelly…ugh.
Of note: at least you’re keeping good company…for what it’s worth. Dave Taylor (of old-school White Dwarf studio fame) had similar issues and was left just as angry as you, Lange.
It sounds like Finecast’s issues are endemic to the process as a whole; I’d venture that it’s not a case of quality control; I’d say GW has ‘run the numbers’ and decided that all the people who complain and return crap-casted Finecast models will be less than those who just suck it up and accept their lot and don’t bother returning the shitty model–y’know, much like how buffets bank on people who only go up for one plate of food: all those one-plate customers HANDILY pay for the very small amount of people who make 7 or 8 trips to the buffet.
