After 15 years of tabletop miniature games and having played 6-7 different game systems (and sunk waaay too much money into each game… I am like Mat in that I am an OCD ‘faction completion-ist’ so I get the entire range of models for my army/faction in every system I play), I learned that before I commit to any new game, I have to wait 6-12 months to make sure it is not just a temporary fab that everyone loses interest into just when I got my full faction in the mail box… There needs to be an active playing group of at least 4 people invested in a new game before I take the plunge.
Playing with friends is where its at, regardless of how real they may or may not be.

I blame Lange 80% and Matty 10% for getting me into new games.
Models, in particular the proportion of them standing on rocks.
