In regards to the closing statements about marines not coming back to the tabletop with a vengeance: I completely agree. I think this a great thing and love to see diversity in both friendly play and tournaments. I’m one of the organisers for the 40k and fantasy tournaments at Gottacon here in Victoria BC, and we love seeing a variety of armies for our participants to play against. It can get really boring playing the same army (or a slight variation of) every single game (especially when you’ve paid to play). I guess, in the end, time will be the ultimate telling factor.
